  19. When you first install Imagemaster R/t, there is one thing you should do
  20. before you attempt to actually use the software to edit images.  You will
  21. need a blank 3.5 inch diskette for this procedure.

  23. Begin by starting the software, either from a shell by typing \ts b run
  24. imf\ts n , or from the WorkBench by double clicking on the Imagemaster R/t
  25. icon. Once the software has been started, select \{ \tc DarkBlue Display \}
  26. from the main panel.  Then select \{ \tc DarkBlue Set Aspect \} from the
  27. Display panel.

  30. the outline of a standard floppy disk on the screen. Hold the 3.5 inch
  31. diskette up to the monitor with one hand, and use the other hand to size the
  32. on-screen outline (see the next paragraph for resizing instructions) so that
  33. it fits as closely as possible around the diskette.  Note that the outline
  34. shows the diskette's \ts i shutter \ts n oriented towards the bottom of the
  35. display. Hold the diskette the same way.\}

  38. and \ts i hold \ts n the left mouse button at the bottom right hand corner of
  39. the outline and \ts i drag \ts n the mouse.  If, at the same time, you need
  40. to reposition the outline, press and hold the \ts i right \ts n mouse button
  41. as well. When you have the outline repositioned, release the right mouse
  42. button only.\}

  44. When the outline fits the diskette, release both mouse buttons, press the
  45. \{ \tc DarkBlue Apply To All Modes \} button and then the \{ \tc DarkBlue
  46. Done \} button. You will be returned to the display control panel. Press
  47. \{ \tc DarkBlue Done \} in this panel as well; you will be returned to the
  48. main control panel. Now, press the \{ \tc DarkBlue Setup \} button in the
  49. main panel; the Setup panel opens. Press the \{ \tc DarkBlue Save Defaults \}
  50. button here and when the file requester opens, accept the file name and path
  51. that are preset in the requester.

  54. preliminary setup for Imagemaster R/t. What you have done is informed the
  55. software about the Aspect Ratio of your display system.  Imagemaster R/t now
  56. "knows" how to adjust a displayed image's size so that the displayed image is
  57. exactly correct for editing.\}

  59. If at any point in the future you adjust the height and/or width controls on
  60. your monitor, or you change display monitors, remember to perform this
  61. procedure again as the settings that Imagemaster R/t has saved will no longer
  62. be accurate.
